Holsteiner Verband Stallion Parade on 28 January

Right at the start of the year, the Holsteiner Verband at Elmshorn is already in full swing preparing for the first highlight: the presentation of the Holsteiner Verband stallions on Sunday, 28 January 2024, starting at 1:00pm heralds the start of the Holsteiner event calendar as well as the breeding season. Tickets for the Verband stallion parade are now available online through eventim, all known ticket agencies and the Verband at Elmshorn from just 5 euros.

Following the now three-year-olds’ performance in the free jumping lane, the other stallions are presented under the saddle and jumping a short course, with executive director Sebastian Rohde, trainer Hilmar Meyer and presenter Wolfgang Kohne commenting on the presentation in the Fritz-Thiedemann-indoor arena. Of course, legendary sires such as Casall or Clarimo will be there as well. “You may look forward in particular to the promising new arrivals at the stallion stable”, says Sebastian Rohde. Another crowd favourite, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, has confirmed his attendance to present the Verband stallions he has the ride on, including European champion, Zuccero. The Elmshorn Holsteiner stallion parade is meant to be entertaining, varied, and, above all, informative. With Sebastian Rohde and his team attaching great importance to personal one-on-on dialogue and the opportunity to see the stallions at close range, guided tours of the stallion stable are also on offer again. Anybody who has already made their choice(s) for the upcoming breeding season, will only need a little bit of luck to make their ideas become reality, as the Holsteiner Verband gives away stallion cover vouchers in a raffle. Verband stallion parade at Elmshorn for the frist time
Sebastian Rohde recently announced that the Verband stallion parade is held a few weeks earlier than in previous years, on 28 January 2024, with the parade’s new venue the Fritz-Thiedemann-indoor arena at the Elmshorn Verband facility instead of the Neumünster Holstenhalls. “The efforts and costs as to logistics and staff are significantly lower at Elmshorn. The increased cost of the Holstenhalls have also contributed to this decision”, Sebastian Rohde explained the reasons for the relocation. “We also want to present as many stallions as possible and for Rolf-Göran Bengtsson it is possible to take his Verband stallions to Elmshorn in January, which would not have been the case in February, because of his showing schedule.”
